Off-cut beauties

After the conference I had loads of off-cuts from the gorgeous Pink Paislee papers. I created some layouts as scrapping ideas using these off-cut pieces. On the black swirls at the top I added some 3D black to enhance the pattern - I love the outcome! Stickers are perfect to frame a photo and I created some paper flowers to add a bit of the brocade colour to the page - isn't the die-cut paper absolutely breathtaking?!
Different paper flowers combine all the colours of the paper beautifully on this page. Cut several circles by hand, distress and ink before layering with paper flowers and a brad for lovely dimensional accents on your page - so easy to create!
Don't you just adore that crumply nose on that giggly face :)

AYOBA!!

Blessed with beauty

We had a wonderful conference beginning of June with Scrapaway and we really had a marvellous time. The venue was lovely and the food was just absolutely YUMMY!!! We had a spitbraai for lunch and then the most DELICIOUS desserts made by Cheryl! The day was a huge success and I loved teaching this wonderful group of scrappers!

I used the gorgeous paper from Pink Paislee , imported by Scrap Shack Studio especially for the conference. With my layout I tried to teach different techniques that can be incorporated in other layouts and cards. The embossed circles were created using a 50c coin and then distressed it with charcoal cats eye. Then followed some "bullet holes", paper weaving, paper frills, folding techniques, layering and tearing, distressing and inking and some hand drawn journal lines and borders.

The lace border around the photo softens the look and the beautiful journal block is perfect for the title! Of course I had to add a blossom for feminine touch and some buttons for flair!

This is a lovely design for very bold papers or different off-cuts you really love! If you don't like the distressed ink look on the circles just leave them plain for a lovely detailed effect! (It's me in the blue shirt age 5!!!)

Butterfly Magic

This layout is still one of my favourites! The butterflies were from a die-cut sheet but the look can easily be achieved by using a slice/cricut/silhouette or even print a butterfly image and hand-cut the design. It is a wonderful way to use pretty off-cut pieces to beautiful to file in the round file :). The words are from a stamp set and were soooo perfect for the layout.

Hope a butterfly flutters by you today and bring a smile to your face (even if it is only a stunning paper or bling one!!)

Valentine?

I would also have a smile right round my face if I got such a HUGE bunch of flowers. My little one was seriously worried when she got this bunch of flowers from her "valentine"!! She did not know if it was okay to get flowers from this stranger!!! When I explained her daddy is her valentine (now and FOREVER!!) this is the delighted face we ended up with!!

I had to record the story and these valentine's papers were just perfect!

Hope you get spoiled with something that puts a smile on your face!
